Ashland Fourth of July

PARACHUTE: Daxton Chase enjoys playing with the parachute during the Fourth of July festivities at Ashland’s Memorial Stadium last Thursday. The toddler is the son of Abby and Beau Chase of Ashland. The parachute was just one of many games and activities organized by the Ashland Rescue Department for the evening, giving families a chance to gather at the stadium for fun before the fireworks began at dusk. The fireworks were funded by the Ashland Community Medical Board, accompanied by music provided by the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce. The community has held an Independence Day celebration for many decades. For more photos, go to Page 6 and www.ashland-gazette.com. (Staff Photo by Suzi Nelson)
