Tractor Ride Across Nebraska

Tractors drive into Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum near Ashland last Thursday on the first leg of the Tractor Ride Across Nebraska (TRAN). The annual event began at the Mid-States Antique Tractor and Machine Show showgrounds southeast of Ashland at 10 a.m. and headed to the museum, where participants enjoyed a tour. Then they were off to Elmwood. The ride ended Saturday night at Falls City after multiple stops in southeast Nebraska. In previous years, the TRAN lasted 10 days, but because most of the route traveled through areas devastated by the March floods, the Nebraska Antique Farming Association opted to shorten the ride to three days.
