ASHLAND – The Ashland Arts Council will meet for their annual dinner on Sunday, June 9, at historic St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

Grace Powell, the council’s 2019 scholarship recipient, will display some of her recent art work. Powell is an award-winning artist who recently graduated from Ashland-Greenwood High School. She plans to study digital arts at Metropolitan Community College.

Entertainment will be provided by Nightshade, a rock band made up of local members Jay Hansen, Micah Judds, Owen Bundy and Aiden vonRentzel. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner follows at 6:30 p.m.

The annual dinner will also highlight the AAC’s activities over the past year and honor members and donors, as well as welcome new members. The event is open to the public, not just council members, according to AAC president Chris Devilier.

“Anyone interested in learning more about our organization and wanting to support the local arts community is welcome,” she said.

Tickets are $20. Contact Devilier at for tickets and more information.
