Council was held on May 16, 2019

at 7 p.m.

Mayor Grauerholz called the

meeting to order, declared a quorum

and noted the Open Meetings

Act.

Motion carried to adopt the regular

agenda.

A Public Hearing to determine existence

of public nuisance at 1909

Boyd St. was held.

A Public Hearing to determine existence

of public nuisance at 2602

Adams St. was held.

A Public Hearing on Conditional

Use Permit for exterior alterations

at 1402 Silver St. was held.

A Public Hearing on Conditional

Use Permit for exterior alterations

at 1525 Silver St. was held.

A Public Hearing on Ord. 1166 to

Modify the Zoning Ordinance was

held.

Motion carried to approve Res.

2019-3 – Declaring the Findings of

the City Council regarding a nuisance

at 1909 Boyd St. with a completion

date of June 5, 2019.

Motion carried to approve Res.

2019-4 – Declaring the Findings of

the City Council regarding a nuisance

at 2602 Adams St. with a target

completion date of June 6,

2019.

Motion carried to approve the

second reading of Ord 1165 to

Modify the Zoning Ordinance of

the City of Ashland Nebraska.

Motion carried to suspend the

rules and waive the third reading

of Ord 1165.

Mayor Grauerholz called for the

vote on Ord 1165 on third and final

reading.

at 1402 Silver St.

Motion carried to approve Conditional

Use Permit for Exterior Alterations

at 1525 Silver St.

Motion carried to approve Garbage

Haulers License for Waste

Connection of NE, dba Papillion

Motion carried to recommend approval

to the Nebraska Liquor

Control Commission for a Special

Designated License for R.T.B.S. Inc.

for July 19, 2019 Stir-Up Beer Garden

at 15th and Silver Streets.

Discussion was held regarding

the intersection of 16th and Silver

St. and the alleys on 14th Street.

Motion carried to authorize the

Mayor to sign Tender and Release

Agreement with Hudson Insurance

for the 2018 Whitetail Estates 1st

Addition.

Motion carried to authorize the

Mayor to sign Completion Contract

with Bauer Underground for

the 2018 Whitetail Estates 1st Addition.

Reviewed the April 2019 Keno,

Public Works, Utility, Police, Building

and Library Reports.

and to leave Executive Session.
