ASHLAND – The Ashland-Greenwood Bluejay softball team got the season off on the right foot with a 10-8 slugfest win over the Tekamah-Herman Tigers in Ashland on Aug. 16.

ASHLAND – The Ashland American Legion Juniors had an outstanding finish to their season, finishing third at the Class B State Tournament, winning seven of their last 10 games and finishing with a 16-11 record.

CYCLONES TAKE SECOND: Piper Boggs of Greenwood and Devin Rodgerson of Ashland, along with their team the Lincoln Cyclones 14U, earned second place the Cavalry tournament in Wahoo in June. The team lost to Elkhorn Edge 14U in the championship game.
