WAHOO – The trail between the City of Wahoo and Lake Wanahoo is scheduled to reopen Wednesday morning.

Wahoo Parks and Recreation Director Kevin Stuhr reported Tuesday that the major repairs from the March flooding were completed and the trail would once again be ready for use.

Parks and Rec staff were working Tuesday to trim trees and mow areas near the trail.

The trail has been closed since March, when the floodwaters from the nearby Sand Creek had their way in several places along the rock surfaced path. South access to the trail is at Placek Park. North access is from Lake Wanahoo Recreation Area.
