Women of the Plains

Sisters Marci Broyhill (from left) and Teresa Kay Orr give a program called “Aprons, Skirts, Hats and Flirts: Women - their Range of Status during the Western Movement” at the Wahoo Public Library on Sunday afternoon. With poetry and song, they told the story of women in pioneer Nebraska. The program was sponsored by Humanities Nebraska through the Speakers Bureau. (Staff Photo by Suzi Nelson)
