BLAIR – The Bishop Neumann and Yutan golf teams will be competing at the Nebraska State Golf Championships next week.

The Cavaliers finished second at the Class B-2 District Tournament in Blair on Monday afternoon. The Cavaliers shot a team score of 333 and finished four shots behind team champ Omaha Skutt Catholic.

Sophomore Patrick Kenney and junior Lindsey Thiele each carded 79’s to finish fifth and sixth respectively.

Other Cavalier scores included sophomore Boston Pentico (87), senior Noah Briley (88) and freshman Lauren Thiele (91)

The Chieftains finished third in the Class C-2 District Tournament played at Indian Trails Golf Club in Beemer.

The Chieftains fired a team score of 380 and were led by junior Joel Pleskac who placed ninth with an 18-hole total of 88.

Other Chieftain scores included sophomore Will Elgert (93), junior Will Hayes (83), sophomore Brady Timm (94) and freshman Sam Peterson (116).

Yutan will play at Meadowlark Hills in Kearney on May 21 and 22.
