OMAHA – Four Mead athletes qualified for the Nebraska State Track and Field Championships in Omaha and competed at Omaha Burke High School on May 17 and 18.

Junior Delaney Patocka and sophomore Becca Halbmaier competed in the field

events in Omaha.

Patocka competed in the discus event and ended up in 17th place with a throw of 93-0.

Halbmaier finished 17th in the triple jump in Omaha after getting measured at 31-1.

Junior Jaden Felty and sophomore Kyla Hrdlicka returned to Omaha after qualifying a season ago.

Felty qualified for the state meet in the 1600-meter run and ended up 19th after completing four laps in 6:00.68.

Hrdlicka finished 24th in the 3200-meter run after finishing with a time of 14:19.

All four Raider qualifiers will return to the track for the Raiders in 2020.
