CEDAR BLUFFS – The Cedar Bluffs girls basketball team improved to 4-8 on the year after splitting a pair of games last week.

The Wildcats started the week with an improbable 44-29 victory over the Lewiston Tigers on the road Jan. 4.

Cedar Bluffs outscored the home team 15-2 in the fourth quarter to pull away for their fourth win of the year.

The Wildcats were led in scoring by sophomore Skylar Shanahan and senior Jadyn Vacha who finished with 11 points apiece. Wildcat Faith Hansen and Alyssa Classen added seven points against Lewiston.

The Wildcats returned home for a game against the Dorchester Longhorns on Jan. 5.

The Wildcats were defeated 47-38 at home despite a season-high 19 points and 11 rebounds from Classen.

Vacha added 10 points and four steals.

Shanahan added four points adn 13 rebounds.
