LINCOLN – For the week ending Nov. 18, there were 5.7 days suitable for field-work, according to the USDA's National Agricul-tural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated six percent short, 87 percent adequate, and seven percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated one percent very short, eight percent short, 86 percent adequate, and five percent surplus.

Corn harvested was 88 percent, near 92 percent last year, and behind 93 percent for the five-year average.

Soybeans harvested was 97 percent, near 100 percent both last year and average.

Winter wheat condition rated two percent very poor, five percent poor, 23 percent fair, 51 percent good, and 19 percent excellent.

Sorghum harvested was 91 percent, near 90 percent last year and 95 percent average.

Pasture and range condi-tions rated one percent very poor, three percent poor, 18 percent fair, 70 percent good, and eight percent excellent.
