LINCOLN — Weather permitting, work will begin May 20 on U.S. Highway 77, from Ceresco South from Reference Post 77+89 to Reference Post 82+52, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Early daytime lane closures were due to begin May 13.

Iowa Civil Contracting, Inc. from Victor, Iowa has the $1,472,552 contract. Work will include concrete pavement repairs, joint and crack sealing, diamond grinding and permanent pavement marking. Traffic will be maintained with lane closures and a 12-foot width restriction will be in place during the project.

Anticipated completion is September.
