President Andy Grosshans convened a public hearing on October 1, 2018 at 7:04 P.M., at Eagle Elementary, Eagle, Nebraska for the purpose of discussing, approving or modifying the district property tax requests for the 2018 – 19 school fiscal year with all members present. Following the opportunity for audience comment, President Grosshans adjourned the hearing at 7:05 P.M. The regular October meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. with all members present. The Board approved the agenda; heard report on Family Groups; heard superintendent report; heard board committee reports; heard Mayor Mike Werner address street safety; approved minutes of September 4, 2018 regular meeting and September 17, 2018 special meeting; accepted classified staff employee resignation; reviewed fund balances; approved fund claims; approved mid – term graduation requests; recognized WEA for the 2020 – 2021 bar-gaining year; approved property tax requests for the 2018 - 2019 fiscal year; accepted board member resignation; approved second reading of board policies; approved first reading of board policies; approved Board / Waverly Transportation Negotiated Agreement; recognized board members for their level achievement; discussed process for filling open board member seat; reviewed future agenda topics and adjourned the meeting at 8:36 P.M.
