KEARNEY – Waverly graduates Rhett Jordon and Logan Schuelke will suit up for the North team on June 1 at the 61st annual Shrine Bowl football game in Kearney.

The game will be played at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium on the campus of the University of Nebraska Kearney.

The duo helped the Vikings advance into the Nebraska State semifinal round where they were defeated by eventual champion 34-14.

Jordon played quarterback for the 9-3 Vikings and spearheaded the Vikings multi-faceted spread offense. Jordon was named All-Conference, All-State and Academic All-State honors after a fantastic season on the gridiron and in the classroom.

Jordon will continue his football career at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.

Schuelke was a standout on both sides of the ball for the Vikings last season. He played on the offensive line and at linebacker last season while earning All-State honors.

Schuelke will continue his football career at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa.
