WAVERLY – The top-ranked Waverly Vikings remained undefeated after earning a hard-fought road victory over the Beatrice Orangemen on Jan. 8.
FIRTH – The top-ranked Waverly Viking basketball team played just one time last week and remained undefeated by scoring a 48-42 win over the Norris Titans on the road on Jan. 4.
RAYMOND – The Raymond Central Mustang boys basketball team secured their first win of the season on Jan. 4 when they traveled to Arlington to take on the Eagles.
LINCOLN – The Raymond Central boys basketball team fell to 0-7 on the season after falling to host Lincoln Lutheran in the opening round of the Lincoln Lutheran Holiday Tournament on Dec. 28.
WAVERLY – The top-ranked Waverly girls basketball team improved to 7-0 with a 58 -53 victory over the third-ranked South Sioux City Cardinals in the opening round of the Waverly Holiday Tournament on Dec. 28.
WAVERLY – The Waverly boys basketball team finished with a 1-1 record while competing at the Waverly Holiday Tournament at Waverly High School on Dec. 28 and Dec. 29.
WAVERLY – The top-ranked Waverly Viking girls basketball team improved to 6-0 on the season with a 35-25 home win over the Crete Cardinals on Dec. 20 at Waverly High School.
RAYMOND – The Raymond Central Mustang girls basketball team dropped to 2-6 on the season after a pair of home losses to Yutan and North Bend Central last week.
WAVERLY – The 2018 high school bowling season came to an end at Sun Valley Lanes and Hollywood Bowl in Lincoln for the talented members of the Waverly Viking bowling teams.
WAVERLY – The Waverly Vikings split games last week on the hardwood, losing to Gretna 53-44 on Friday and then bouncing back with a 68-51 home win against Nebraska City on Saturday.
WAVERLY – The fifth-ranked Waverly Vikings remained undefeated on the season after scoring a pair of wins over Gretna and Nebraska City over the weekend.
GRAND ISLAND – The Waverly Viking wrestler team spent the weekend in Grand Island while competing at the two-day Flatwater Fracas Dual Tournament at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island.
CRETE – After sweeping to a pair of dual wins at the Tri County Triangular on Thursday the Waverly Viking wrestling team traveled to Crete for the annual Crete Invitational on Dec. 8.
WAVERLY – The seventh-ranked Waverly Vikings moved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing 46-30 home victory over the fifth-ranked York Dukes on Dec. 6 at Waverly High School.
RAYMOND – The Raymond Central Mustang boys and girls basketball teams played a pair of games to open the season over the weekend starting with games on the road against Aquinas Catholic in David City on Nov. 30.
WAVERLY – The eighth-ranked Waverly Vikings used a big first quarter to build a big lead and then held on for a 48-31 home win over Northwest in their season-opener at home on Nov. 30.
LINCOLN – After winning a dual against the Syracuse Rockets, the Waverly wrestling team made the short trip to Lincoln to take part in the annual Lincoln Pius X dual tournament on Saturday morning.
LINCOLN – U.S. Bank® and the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) has announced the nominations for their 2018-2019 Believers and Achievers. Believers and Achievers is a state-wide program designed by U.S. Bank and the NSAA to give recognition to Nebraska’s future leaders.
